[RECHERCHE] Le grand Méchant de l'Histoire, le Shogun / [SEARCH] The great villain of history, the Shogun

Me revoilà avec un nouveau personnage à vous présenter en dessin.

Il s'agit du grand méchant de l'histoire. Concernant sa réalisation, j'ai un peu galérer au niveau de son design. En effet, je cherchais à représenter quelqu'un de Puissant, noble et effrayant en même temps.

J'ai donc proposé à mes contacts facebook une planche de silhouettes avec les indications suivantes: Je recherche à faire passer les émotions suivantes: Puissance, Noblesse et Effrayant.

Here I am again with a new character to present you in drawing.

He is the great villain of the story. Concerning his realisation, I had a bit of trouble with his design. Indeed, I wanted to represent one of powerful, noble and scary at the same time.

So I proposed to my facebook contacts a silhouette board with the following indications: I am looking to convey the following emotions: Powerful, Noble and Scary.

So I proposed this silhouette board:

Il en est ressortie, que la silhouette n° 1 et n°6 sont sortie du lot. Mais la plupart me conseillait la 1.

Hors c'est celle que j'avais dessiné en 1er.

It emerged that silhouette no. 1 and no. 6 stood out from the lot. But most of them advised me the 1.

But it was the one I had drawn first.

J'ai donc essayé de travaillé le personnage en essayant en gardant en tête la 1 et la 6.

So I tried to work on the character keeping in mind 1 and 6.

Mais après réflexions, cela ne me convenais pas. Je m'éloignais du 1er concept. C'est la que j'ai eu l'idée de scinder le personnage en deux. Je garde ma première version du Shogun et je développe l'autre, sur un autre personnage, qui sera son âme damnée, l'Oni Samouraï.

Je vous présenterai ce nouveau perso dans un nouveau billet.

But after some thought, it didn't suit me. I was moving away from the first concept. That's when I came up with the idea of splitting the character in two. I keep my first version of the Shogun and develop the other, on another character, who will be his damned soul, the Oni Samurai.

I will present this new character in a new post.
